John Cirigliano, Chief Executive
Officer
John has more than 21 years experience
in private equity investment in the services and real estate
sectors; and in the last three years has built a
center-city-Lexington real estate development firm to
implement important elements of the College Town Plan. He is
Chairman/CEO of Clearbrook Companies; Chairman of GCP
Services; Managing Member of HDC Holdings; and the general
partner of Corporate Capital Partners. Previously, he served
as a Senior Adviser to The Red Herring magazine; a
Director of Digital Origin; a Managing Director of Merrill
Lynch; a founding officer of Corporate Property Investors,
an REIT now part of Simon Properties; and lectured at the
Practising Law Institute on real estate finance. John has
used technology advances consistently to enhance sustainable
results for his real estate and economic development
initiatives. His extensive real estate development and
financing activities have been concentrated on retail and
multi-family residential.
John developed an interest in
philanthropy as a scholarship student at Columbia University
and has served on various boards and committees related to
Columbia, Outward Bound USA, and other charities. In 1987 he
endowed the John Cirigliano Scholarships at Columbia
which now give preference to students from Kentucky.
Columbia awarded John the Alumni Medal for conspicuous
service in 1991 and the Maniatty Distinguished Alumnus Award
in 2004.
John has traveled extensively in Europe,
Africa and Asia and speaks French and Italian. He adopted
Lexington as his home and center of his private equity
investment activities over ten year years ago when he met
and married Nancy Schmidt Hughes. John received his AB from
Columbia University and his JD from New York Law School.
George Jahelka
George Jahelka has been active with
Clearbrook, its affiliates and partnerships since inception.
His other experiences include managing the banking, treasury
and corporate finance operations for Pacific Enterprises, a
large diversified holding company, and serving as Vice
President, Corporate Finance for First California Company,
Inc., a large regional investment-banking firm. An expert in
utility rate of return matters, George has provided
testimony to federal and state regulatory agencies on "cost
of capital" matters. He has an AB from Columbia University
and an MBA from the University of Southern California.
George served six years as a commissioned officer in the
U.S. Navy. From 1971 to 1996 he was a founding director of
Stewart-Walker Company, a plastic packaging manufacturing
company.
Reg Norris
Reg Norris was with Transamerica Leasing
Inc. for 15 years as Executive Vice President of the motor
carrier group and as Vice President Finance/Treasurer. In
the former position, Reg was responsible for the operations
of three common carriers. He had previously been in the real
estate business where he focused on financing and
development of commercial properties. He was also a Fellow
in the Department of Real Estate at New York University for
two years. Reg is a Director of Archco Inc., a fuel
management firm, and Intersafe Inc., which provides risk
management for common and private carriers. He is a
recognized expert in the field of transportation.
Roland Alden, Chief Technology Officer
Roland Alden has over 25 years
experience in software engineering and project management at
significant technology and telecommunications companies. He
has expertise in large-scale software development (operating
systems and programming environments), telecommunications
protocols, standards development, and the recruitment and
management of engineering teams. His experience includes
large technology companies (MAI, Data General, AT&T) and
classic Silicon Valley startups (Forethought, Go and Eo).
Roland was the original developer of vCard, the "electronic
business card" exchange format, is the author of several
computer textbooks, and developed Internet services in
Nigeria, Micronesia and Guam. He uses his exceptional
technical and strategic skills to advise Clearbrook clients,
to assess the technological advantages and competitive
landscape of intellectual property, and to review the scope
of proposed alliances, partnerships and joint ventures.
Beneath the technical brilliance, Roland is an artist at
heart, receiving a Bachelor's Degree with Distinction from
the California College of Arts and Crafts.
